BIG CLOCK

This is a logic diagram of a multiple - magnet version of my electromagnetic clock, necessary to move a heavier pendulum and acheive longer swings. The electronics will be arranged as many independent bistable circuits, made astable by the mechanical delay of the pendulum. Each sensor will be grouped with three electromagnets: turning the one directly opposite off, and its neighbours on either side on.

The force felt by an object due to a magnet is exponentially greater the closer it is to the magnet, so by using more than one magnet along the path of a pendulum, the force exerted on the mass is far greater than when using magnets only at the ends of its path.
